My writing response for my reading by Kumaradivelu

Kumaradivelu expanded his discussion about post-method theory that he conceptualized as the way to be hands-on theory for teachers to implement based on the context of the schools.


The term pedagogy includes not only classroom theory and practices but also “wide range of historical, political, and sociocultural experiences that directly or indirectly influenced L2 education” (p.538).

“All pedagogy, like all politics, is local. To ignore local exigencies is to ignore lived experiences.” (p.539).

The recognition for local exigencies can be in deference to the attempt of embarking pedagogy of particularity. As a consequence, local context-sensitive knowledge production can be generated.
